Contract Link Service Model
What does Contract Link actually do?
Contract Link provides independent project advisory and contractor brokerage services. We help homeowners evaluate contractors, compare options, review quotes, and reduce risk before committing to a project. We do not perform construction work ourselves.
Are you a contractor?
No. Contract Link is not a contractor. We operate as an independent advisory and brokerage platform that helps homeowners make informed decisions when selecting and managing contractors.
How are you different from hiring a general contractor?
A general contractor manages and performs the work. Contract Link evaluates risk, reviews documentation, compares contractors, and provides structured guidance so you can choose the right team with clarity before work begins.
Contractor Vetting & Comparison
What is contractor vetting?
Contractor vetting is an independent review of a contractor’s documentation, scope clarity, financial structure, and risk indicators to help homeowners understand potential exposure before signing.
What is contractor comparison?
Contractor comparison evaluates multiple contractors side-by-side. We assess scope alignment, risk exposure, documentation quality, and project fit to help you understand differences beyond just price.
Do you verify licenses or insurance?
We review documentation and note whether insurance and warranties are referenced. However, we do not independently verify licenses or insurance certificates unless explicitly provided for review.
Do you recommend a specific contractor?
We do not endorse or guarantee contractors. Our reports identify risk positioning and tradeoffs so homeowners can make informed decisions based on their priorities.
Project Brokerage
What is Full Project Brokerage?
Full Project Brokerage provides broader support for complex projects involving multiple trades, scheduling coordination, and ongoing advisory oversight from planning through execution.
Do you manage the contractors?
In standard vetting or comparison services, we do not manage contractors. Brokerage services may include additional coordination support depending on the engagement.
Pricing & Process
How long does a review take?
Turnaround time depends on urgency and complexity. Most contractor reviews and comparisons are completed within 24–48 hours once all documentation is received.
What information do I need to provide?
We require contractor names and any available documentation such as quotes, proposals, contracts, or scope details. The more complete the documentation, the more comprehensive the review.
What happens after I submit a request?
After submission, we review the materials, conduct structured risk analysis, and provide a homeowner-friendly report outlining findings, concerns, and recommended clarifications.
Contractors
Why should contractors sign up?
Contractor signup allows professionals to be considered for brokerage opportunities. We focus on professionalism, documentation quality, and project alignment.
Does signing up guarantee work?
No. Signup allows visibility within the brokerage ecosystem but does not guarantee project awards.
Limitations
Do you provide legal advice?
No. Our services provide structured advisory guidance. We do not offer legal or financial advice.
Do you guarantee project outcomes?
No. We assess risk exposure based on documentation provided, but we cannot guarantee contractor performance.
